Children’s Safety & Parental Info

Block Kitz · Last updated: April 2026

For parents and guardians: Block Kitz is designed from the ground up to be a safe, cozy puzzle game for your kids. This page explains every protection we’ve built in — and how you can make it even safer with a few device settings.

A clear promise

We designed Block Kitz to be the block puzzle we’d be happy for our own children to play. That means:

  • Minimal data. Only the device’s advertising ID, and only when your child taps “Watch Ad” — used to show a non-personalized ad. No profiles. No behavioural tracking. No data sharing.
  • No forced ads. No banner ads, no interstitials, no “you must watch this to continue.”
  • No chat, no multiplayer, no social features. No strangers can reach your child through Block Kitz.
  • No gambling mechanics. The spin wheel awards only free in-game coins — never real money, never mystery loot boxes.
  • No age-inappropriate ads. Our ads are rated G and have child-directed treatment enabled.
  • No in-app purchases in v1.0.1. The current launch build has no IAP at all.
  • Offline gameplay. Gameplay works offline — only optional rewarded video ads need a connection.

1. Compliance

Block Kitz complies with the major children’s privacy laws and policies:

  • COPPA (U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act)
  • GDPR Article 8 (EU — protection of children)
  • UK Age Appropriate Design Code (AADC / Children’s Code)
  • Google Play Families Policy
  • Google Play Designed for Families program standards

2. Data — what we collect

Almost nothing — and never personal data. We do not collect names, emails, locations, contacts, photos, or any other personal information from any player, child or adult. Your child’s game progress is stored locally on their device and never sent to our servers (we don’t have any servers that collect game data).

The only data touched is your device’s advertising ID, passed to Google AdMob only when a player deliberately taps “Watch Ad.” It’s used to serve a non-personalized ad — no profiling, no behavioural tracking, no data sharing. See the full Privacy Policy for the complete breakdown.

3. Ads — how they work

Block Kitz includes optional rewarded ads via Google AdMob. That means:

  • An ad only plays when the player taps a “Watch Ad” button — for example, to revive after game-over, to double their coin reward, or to get a free power-up.
  • The game is fully playable without ever watching a single ad.
  • Ads are configured as non-personalized (npa=true) — no tracking, no profiling, no remarketing.
  • Ads are child-directed treatment enabled — COPPA and GDPR-K protections applied to every ad request.
  • Maximum content rating is G — no gambling, alcohol, dating, or adult-themed ads.

4. Purchases — not in v1.0.1

The current launch build (v1.0.1) has no in-app purchases at all. It’s fully free to play, with no coin packs, no supporter packs, and no paywalls.

We plan to add optional cosmetic coin packs in a later update. When we do, they will be gated by an in-app parental math gate (e.g., “What is 7 + 8?”) before the purchase screen opens — designed to be passable by an adult in a second or two, but block an impulsive tap from a young child. The actual payment will still be processed by Google Play Billing, which has its own authentication layer.

We strongly recommend enabling these device-level protections now, so they’re in place before any future update:

Android

  1. Open Google Play Store → tap your profile picture → Settings.
  2. Tap AuthenticationRequire authentication for purchases.
  3. Choose For all purchases through Google Play on this device.

For kids under 13, set up Google Family Link — it lets you approve every app install, set screen-time limits, and require approval for every purchase.

5. What Block Kitz does not include

To be explicit — Block Kitz does not contain any of the following:

  • User accounts or login
  • Chat, messages, or any way for players to communicate
  • Multiplayer features
  • User-generated content (UGC) visible to others
  • Links to external websites inside the game
  • Social-media sharing
  • Push notifications that require permissions
  • Access to contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location

6. Age appropriateness

Block Kitz carries the following age ratings:

  • Google Play: Everyone
  • PEGI: 3
  • ESRB: Everyone
  • USK: 0

The visual style is deliberately bright, friendly, and non-violent — no weapons, no combat, no scary imagery.

7. Reporting a concern

If you notice something in Block Kitz that doesn’t feel right — an inappropriate ad, a suspected bug that compromises safety, anything — please tell us right away:

  • Email: support@blockkitz.com (we reply within a few business days).
  • In urgent cases: please also report to Google Play Console via the store listing’s “Flag as inappropriate” link.

We take every safety report seriously and prioritize them above everything else.
