Terms of Service

Short version: Block Kitz is a family-friendly puzzle game safe for players of all ages, including children. Play fairly, don’t cheat, and know that in-game coins have no real-world cash value. We provide the game “as is” and hope you enjoy it.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Block Kitz (“the Game”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game. If you are a child, please read these Terms with a parent or guardian.

2. Who Can Play

Block Kitz is intended for players of all ages, including children. We do not require users to create an account or provide any personal information to play.

  • Children under the age of digital consent in their country (13 in the U.S., 13–16 in the EU depending on country) may play, but we recommend playing with a parent or guardian’s awareness.
  • In-app purchases require permission from a parent or legal guardian for any player under the age of majority in their jurisdiction.

3. License to Play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Block Kitz for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Game
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Game
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to play or gain an advantage
  • Resell or redistribute the Game or any of its assets
  • Use the Game for any commercial purpose without our written permission
  • Exploit bugs or glitches to obtain coins, achievements, or other benefits

4. In-App Purchases & Virtual Currency

The current v1.0.1 launch build has no in-app purchases. Block Kitz is fully free to play.

Optional cosmetic coin packs are planned for a later update, gated by a parental math problem before the payment screen. If and when they ship, the following terms will apply:

  • Virtual currency (coins) has no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money, refunded for cash, or transferred between accounts.
  • Purchases will be processed by Google Play Billing or Apple StoreKit. Refund requests must go through those platforms.
  • Purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law (e.g., 14-day cooling-off period in the EU).
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any virtual goods or pricing at any time.
  • If your device is lost or reset, your virtual currency may not be recoverable because it is stored locally on your device.

⚠️ Parents and guardians — important:

  • If a child uses this device, please enable parental controls and require a password for every in-app purchase.
  • On Android: Google Play Store → Settings → Authentication → Require authentication for purchases.
  • On iOS: Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → iTunes & App Store Purchases.
  • Purchases made by a child without parental permission may be refundable through Google or Apple — contact those platforms directly.

5. Player Conduct

Block Kitz does not currently include chat, social features, or user-to-user messaging. If any community feature is ever added (for example, an optional display name shown only locally), please:

  • Choose a display name that is kind and appropriate for all ages
  • Do not use real names, addresses, or personal details as your display name
  • Do not use offensive, threatening, or inappropriate language
  • Play fairly — no cheating, hacking, or exploiting bugs

6. Advertisements

Block Kitz shows optional rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob. An ad is only shown when the player deliberately chooses to watch one — for example, tapping “Watch Ad to Revive” after a game-over, or “Watch Ad for x2 Coins.” The game is fully playable without ever watching a single ad.

Our ads comply with Google Play’s Families Policy:

  • Non-personalized only — no behavioral tracking, no remarketing, no user profiles.
  • Child-directed treatment enabled (COPPA and GDPR Article 8 compliant).
  • Maximum content rating: G — no ads for gambling, dating, alcohol, or adult themes.
  • No forced interruptions — no banner ads, no interstitials. Ads only play when the player taps a “Watch Ad” button.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in Block Kitz — including graphics, sounds, music, code, and the “Block Kitz” name — is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

If you choose to enter a display name, that remains yours. By entering it, you give us permission to show it back to you inside the Game on your device.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Block Kitz is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs.

Your game data is stored locally on your device. We are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, uninstalling the app, clearing browser storage, or other causes outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Block Kitz. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months, or $10 USD if you have made no purchases.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or on the Game’s store listing. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept the revised Terms, please uninstall the Game.

11. Ending Your Use

You may stop using Block Kitz at any time by uninstalling it. We may also suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms, attempt fraud, or if required by law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Block Kitz is published. Any disputes will be resolved through the appropriate courts in that jurisdiction.

13. Privacy

Your use of Block Kitz is also covered by our Privacy Policy, which explains (in short: we don’t collect any personal information).
